| Liza Greer in ANGELS' BRIGADE Year: 1979 Rating: ***1/2 |
Thank goodness that in 1979, no one told low-budget director Greydon Clark that this kind of crime-centered, revenge-driven, van-cruising exploitation had gone out of style since blaxploitation and kung fu flicks waned in popularity, but, with the then-popularity of CHARLIE'S ANGELS on television, Clark's ANGEL'S BRIGADE really hit the spot... and with more than three beautiful women...
One a lanky-cute, pig-tailed teenager, played by Liza Greer (seeming primed for her own movie), trained by real life sister Robin Greer, a cop who also helps shape tough black chick Sylvia Anderson, athletic Asian Lieu Chinh, tall blonde showgirl (and technically leading actress) Susan Kiger, spicy Latina Noela Velasco and Clark's wife Jacquelin Cole, an idealistic high school school teacher who has, not surprisingly, the best part herein...
