SWORD & DINOSAUR SEQUEL 'THE PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT'

Awesome Looking Matte Painting from THE PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT Year: 1977
Not a respected cult film like THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT, what's here is a kind of laidback hangout sequel centering more on that land's PEOPLE, and is basically a Fantasy version of FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE as an assorted, eclectic group just kind of traipses around rugged terrain for most of the picture...

The action comes in halfway through for our main heroes Patrick Wayne and Sarah Douglas, a one-dimensional yet dependably stalwart journeyman and a quirky British photographer, along with a plump, likeable middle-aged English bloke (Thorley Walters) and a funny pilot (Shane Brimmer): the latter staying back at camp randomly shooting pterodactyl, waiting for his group to return...
David Prowse and Sarah Douglas in THE PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT Rating: ***1/2
Who get captured by a race of neanderthal samurai including David Prowse as a masked Executioner the same year he played the masked Darth Vader in STAR WARS. Ironically, back at the boat... which is further back than the plane... is Richard LeParmentier, the argumentative Admiral Motti who Vader chokes at the Death Star Round Table...

But as Wayne searches for the original film's long-lost hero Doug McClure, the real standout is one of the finest cave girls since Raquel Welch, and with an even fuller, more bombastic body. In that, Dana Gillespie as Ajor is where the eyes roam during a there-and-back-again adventure that includes a myriad of fist fights, foot chases, plane rides, explosions, gun blasts, violent swordplay and a few formidable (large rubber) dinosaurs for good measure.
